Hundreds of flowers bloom at the base of the Blue Mountains at Walla Walla Flower Farm!

Previously a wheat field and now over an acre of vibrant flowers filled with native pollinators and stunning colors, experiencing the living masterpiece of this local flower farm is truly special.

Each week, Anne creates fresh bouquets of flowers by hand, looking for the prettiest blooms, the best smells, and the fullest colors. She hand wraps them and brings them right here to Andy’s Market so that you can enjoy fresh flowers every day of the week!

Newer to the Walla Walla Valley flower scene, Anne began her flower farm last year and works closely with the other flower farms in the area. With a love for community and the belief that, “Flowers are really powerful. Flowers do good things to people. No one is ever unhappy to get flowers. They are pretty magical,” she does all she can to bring joy to her local community through fresh flowers.

Anne was raised on a family farm just over the hill from her flower farm and shares a deep rooted love for this beautiful place we call home. A grower and farmer her whole life, Anne’s passion is serving her community fresh and local products that bring a smile to their face! When she thought about bringing her passion for farming to life, she just knew it had to be in the form of fresh flowers!

At Walla Walla Flower Farm, Anne grows close to 100 varieties of flowers that include perennials, annuals, and bulbs. Every year she starts more flowers inside her house and then cares for them until they are big enough to be brought outside and planted in the soil. Over 95% of her current flowers were started in her home, nurtured, and planted by hand outside in the spring.

When asked the impossible question, which flower was her favorite, Anne said, “I don’t have a favorite, I love them all for different reasons.” With the beauty of her flower farm all around you, you can see why this is the only answer! With an eye for flower design and complementary colors, Anne builds her bouquets with you in mind! From reds and yellows to whites and blues, every bloom is chosen for the special colors, textures, and shapes it will bring to the bouquet as a whole!

Anne is strategic with her planting so that her flower farm attracts pollinators, not pests. She uses Nasturtiums and Marigolds to draw any pests away from her flowers and refrains from using pesticides to protect her cherished pollinators. Anne also recruits her flock of ducks for pest control and sets them loose into the flowers to help her manage any unwanted pests throughout the year.

With a deep love for her flowers, Anne goes above and beyond to care for every beautiful flower in her farm. Each day she cares for their needs, admires their beauty, and comes up with new ways to share them with her wonderful community.

This autumn and winter, Anne plans to create stunning dried flower arrangements so that even in the colder months you can still find happiness from their beauty.

Anne’s dream is to bring a smile to your face with a gorgeous bouquet of fresh flowers and with her flowers available at Andy’s Market, she can do just that!
